How refunds are handled for payments made through this website. Last updated: 25 September 2026.
Tournament fees, membership fees, and donations are processed through Razorpay. We don’t directly hold your card, UPI, or bank details — Razorpay handles the transaction and confirms it back to us.
If you need to withdraw from a tournament you’ve registered and paid for, refund eligibility is decided case-by-case by the Association, based on how much advance notice you give and that tournament’s own arrangements (venue booking, boards, printed materials, and similar fixed costs already committed). As a general guide, withdrawing well ahead of the tournament date is far more likely to receive a full or partial refund than withdrawing at short notice or after the tournament has started — so please let us know as soon as you know you need to withdraw. If the Association itself cancels or postpones a tournament, registered players will be offered a full refund or the option to carry their entry over to the rescheduled date.
To request a tournament fee refund, email ptcaa2016@gmail.com with your name and the tournament — refund requests are currently reviewed and processed manually by the Association, not through an automatic self-service option on the site.
The membership entrance fee is non-refundable once payment is confirmed and your membership is activated, since your application has by then already been reviewed and accepted by the Executive Committee. If you were charged in error or a payment failed to go through correctly, contact us and we’ll put it right.
Donations are voluntary contributions to support the Association’s work and are non-refundable, except where a payment was processed in error — for example, a duplicate charge, or a technical fault during checkout. If that happens to you, email us and we’ll investigate and refund it promptly.
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method via Razorpay, typically within 5–7 business days of approval, though your bank may take a few additional days to reflect it in your account or statement.
